Razorpay has launched RAY, an AI-powered account manager integrated into WhatsApp, enabling business owners to manage payments and gain insights through simple text or voice prompts, disrupting traditional dashboard-based processes.
Razorpay has launched RAY, an AI account manager built into WhatsApp, in partnership with IndusInd Bank and with early users including Bajaj Finance, according to the company. The product is designed to let business owners check payments data, trigger routine actions and pull performance insights through simple text or voice prompts in English or Hindi, rather than moving through multiple dashboards and reports.
The company says RAY can handle everyday tasks such as tracking revenue, following up on failed transactions and checking settlement timing. In one example, a founder can ask for a summary of payments from the previous day, or request payment links be sent to customers whose transactions failed. Razorpay also says the system can nudge users when settlements may be affected by holidays, helping businesses manage cash flow without having to cross-reference calendars and bank schedules manually.
RAY goes further than basic account queries, according to Razorpay, by drawing on the company’s payments, risk and data systems to analyse longer trends and spot unusual changes in performance. That can include forecasting sales over the next two months from recent payment patterns, seasonal swings and gateway success rates, or identifying whether a drop in conversions is linked to a card network, a bank outage or checkout friction. Razorpay says sensitive actions such as refunds and settlement management are protected by tap-to-open verification links inside the chat flow.
