PhonePe has renamed its investing platform PhonePe Invest and launched Portfolio Optimiser, a tool designed to help users build, review and rebalance portfolios across demat accounts.
PhonePe has renamed its stockbroking and investing platform Share.Market as PhonePe Invest, bringing it more tightly into the group’s wider financial services push, according to a company announcement. The rebrand comes with a new feature, Portfolio Optimiser, which PhonePe says is designed to help investors build, review and fine-tune their holdings rather than leaving them to track every position manually.
The tool is aimed at different types of users. Under its Build function, PhonePe says it will guide newer investors through the early stages of setting up a portfolio. Review is meant to pull together holdings that may be spread across several demat accounts, giving users a clearer view of performance and diversification. Optimise is intended to flag underperforming assets and concentration risk, including cases where too much money is tied up in one sector, before suggesting possible changes.
According to PhonePe, the investing service is available both in a dedicated PhonePe Invest app for active traders and inside the main PhonePe app for everyday users. The company says the platform offers access to stocks, mutual funds, initial public offerings, exchange-traded funds and futures and options. Its mutual fund offering spans equity funds, debt funds and hybrid funds, while its broader investing site says users can open a demat and trading account through a paperless process.
The expansion fits a broader pattern for PhonePe, which began as a digital payments business and has steadily added financial products. The company said it had crossed 700 million registered users in April 2026, giving its investment arm a large built-in audience as it tries to turn investing into a more routine part of the PhonePe ecosystem.
