NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited has reported that its Bharat Connect foreign exchange platform has crossed Rs 100 million in transactions within just four months, highlighting swift uptake of the retail FX offering amid broader digital financial inclusion efforts.
NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited said its foreign exchange service on Bharat Connect has crossed Rs 100 million in transactions within four months, underlining steady early uptake for the platform’s retail FX offering.
According to the company, the category was introduced at the Global Fintech Fest 2025 and handled Rs 27.06 million in FY26 before accelerating to Rs 111.91 million in the first four months of FY27. That took cumulative turnover to Rs 138.97 million, suggesting demand has picked up quickly since launch.
The service links Bharat Connect with FX-Retail, a system developed by the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. The company says the arrangement gives customers transparent pricing and access to competitive foreign exchange rates through an interoperable digital network, part of a broader push to make retail financial services more seamless.
