NH NongHyup Bank will begin rolling out AI agents for tailored wealth advice, jeonse loans and fraud prevention on its mobile app from December.
NH NongHyup Bank is moving to turn its long-promised “NH Agentic AI Bank” strategy into customer-facing services, starting with a digital assistant that will help users with wealth management, jeonse deposit loans and fraud prevention. The bank said on Monday that it had launched the project with its artificial intelligence subsidiary, Agile Soda, and plans to roll out the first services on its NH All One Bank mobile app in December before extending them to branch-based advisory services in February next year.
The core of the project is a wealth-management AI agent designed to use MyData-linked customer information to produce market briefings tailored to an individual’s assets and liabilities. According to the bank, the tool will go beyond simple account summaries and offer portfolio diagnosis and construction, as well as tax-saving guidance using individual retirement pensions and pension savings accounts. That reflects the broader direction of NongHyup Bank’s AI strategy, which the bank has previously described as an effort to embed AI across its entire banking operation rather than limit it to back-office automation.
Alongside the wealth tool, the bank is developing a jeonse loan agent to guide customers through the financial steps involved from preparing a rental contract to settling in after moving, and a consumer-protection agent focused on fraud prevention and other safeguards. The goal is to reduce the need for customers to search separately for product information or procedural guidance, replacing that with a conversational interface that can steer users through the relevant steps in one place.
NongHyup Bank is also working on an integrated chatbot that will pull together banking knowledge scattered across its lending, card and other channels. It said the bot will undergo testing in December and is slated for formal launch in March next year. In parallel, the bank and Agile Soda are pursuing 10 internal minimum viable product innovation tasks, including AI checks for loan document reviews and compliance screening of marketing content. A bank official said the aim is to make professional-grade wealth management available through what the bank described as a “handheld AI financial secretary”.
