JioFinance introduces a comprehensive online personal loan service allowing users to compare offers, check eligibility and get quick disbursal through a seamless digital process, expanding borrowing options with multiple partners.
Applying for a personal loan through JioFinance is positioned as a largely digital process, with the platform letting users compare offers from partner lenders, check eligibility and submit an application without visiting a branch. According to JioFinance, the app offers personal loans of up to ₹55 lakh and is designed to make borrowing quicker and more convenient for people facing unexpected bills, planned purchases or other short-term funding needs.
The first step is to compare the available offers carefully, not just on the headline rate but also on tenure, processing fees, repayment terms and the likely monthly instalment. JioFinance says users can review offers from lenders including Fibe, FIRSTMoney, Bajaj Finserv and Kissht, with different loan sizes and pricing structures. That makes it important to borrow only what is needed, rather than the maximum amount available.
Before a formal application is submitted, the platform carries out an eligibility check using a soft enquiry. JioFinance says this does not affect the applicant’s credit score and is not visible to other lenders as a hard enquiry would be. Its privacy policy also says the company acts as a technology platform connecting users with RBI-regulated banks and non-banking finance companies, rather than as a direct lender itself.
After a suitable offer is chosen, the borrower must complete electronic verification, including identity checks and one-time password confirmation through a registered mobile number. PAN details may be required, along with bank account information and income or employment details where relevant. JioFinance advises applicants to make sure their name, date of birth, address and other personal information match official records to avoid delays.
Once the details have been reviewed and the application is sent to the selected lender, the final approval rests with that lender’s own assessment and credit criteria. If approved, the loan amount is paid into the borrower’s bank account. JioFinance says the time taken for approval and disbursal can vary depending on the applicant profile and how quickly the required checks are completed.
