Indian startups secure significant funding to expand AI, healthcare, and geospatial tech

Indian startups continued their robust fund-raising momentum on 18 August 2026, with notable investments in geospatial, healthcare, and AI-driven platforms, signalling sustained investor confidence in software-led innovations across sectors.

India’s startup funding pipeline stayed active on 18 August 2026, with four new rounds spanning geospatial technology, child healthtech, AI lending and travel. The day’s largest cheque went to NeoGeo, while the others reflected continued investor appetite for software-heavy businesses built around financial services, healthcare delivery and consumer travel. According to StartupTalky’s roundup, Neev II Fund, Aavishkaar Capital, Norwest and Colossa Ventures were among the lead backers.

NeoGeo said it had raised $20 million in Series A funding led by Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital. The Gurugram-based company, founded in 2019 by Sreeramam GV, builds GIS-linked tools for urban governance, infrastructure and natural resource management. It said the fresh capital will help widen its product range, deepen its team and support expansion into the Middle East and the Americas. The company also said it has completed more than 200 projects, mapped more than 500,000 square kilometres and manages over 550 CORS stations.

Rezolv, another portfolio company in the day’s tally, closed a $12.5 million Series A round led by Norwest, with participation from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India and existing investor 3one4 Capital. Founded in 2024 by Karan Mehta and Sonali Jindal, the former founders of Kissht, Rezolv positions itself as an AI-native lending platform for banks and non-bank lenders. The company said the money will be used to improve AI across sales, risk, underwriting and collections, and noted that it already works with more than 22 lenders, including AU Small Finance Bank and ICICI Bank.

Lissun, which focuses on children with special needs and developmental delay, raised INR 48 crore in Series A funding led by Colossa Ventures. Existing investors including RPSG Capital Ventures and Rainmatter also took part. The company said the funds will go towards expanding its Sunshine by LISSUN centres, building AI-based tools and strengthening clinical processes. Lissun said the brand has grown fourfold over the past year, now operates 25 centres and delivers more than 10,000 therapy sessions a month, with a target of 50 centres by next year.

Atravelq also secured fresh funding, though it did not disclose the amount. The Chandigarh-based travel company said the round valued it at INR 10 crore and was backed by seed investors and founding stakeholders. It plans to direct the capital towards technology, customer experience and expansion in selected growth markets. Atravelq says it provides personalised international holiday packages, visa services, flights, hotels and concierge support across more than 180 destinations, and has served more than 10,000 travellers.

Beyond fundraising, the same day brought a series of moves in mobility, consumer goods and fintech. Uber said it had partnered with ixigo to add train ticket booking to its app, letting users book rail tickets, check PNR status and link first- and last-mile trips in one place. Colgate-Palmolive India said it had turned to Bombay Shaving Company to manage the direct-to-consumer and ecommerce business of Palmolive, as it tries to revive the brand online. Razorpay, meanwhile, launched Vulcan, an AI foundation model for payments built with support from NVIDIA and AWS and already used in parts of its customer network.
