Galaxy Health Insurance has partnered with Zoho to develop and deploy a regulator-compliant distribution platform in less than three months, enabling swift national expansion and more transparent operations amid a competitive insurance landscape.
Galaxy Health Insurance has teamed up with Zoho to build a regulator-compliant distribution platform in less than three months, allowing the newly licensed standalone health insurer to move from approval to live operations at unusual speed. According to Express Healthcare, the system was designed as an enterprise-grade foundation for the company’s sales and service operations rather than a simple front-end tool. The insurer, which received its IRDAI licence in March 2024, said the priority was to balance a rapid launch with a platform that could support national expansion over time.
G. Srinivasan, chief executive of Galaxy Health Insurance, said the company needed a partner that could deliver both speed and scale, while building compliance into the architecture from the outset. Mani Vembu, chief executive of Zoho, said the project showed how automation and governance can be embedded into insurance workflows from day one. The collaboration brought together Galaxy’s in-house team and Zoho’s Enterprise Business Solutions unit to translate the insurer’s operating requirements into a single digital framework.
The platform places Zoho CRM at the centre of agent onboarding, tele-sales, customer support, grievance handling and distribution management. Express Healthcare reported that the system was built to handle IRDAI-mandated checks for IC-38, POSP and composite agents, alongside regulated commissions, reversals, portability cases, EMI-linked payouts and tax logic. It is integrated with TCS BaNCS, Galaxy’s policy administration system, and with document storage through OmniDocs, while mobile tools support field teams with real-time uploads, OTP verification, KYC checks and approval routing.
Since launch, Galaxy says the system has been onboarding more than 250 agents a week and handling over 40,000 outbound tele-sales calls a month. Commission processing is now automated, reducing the need for manual reconciliation, while the company says the platform has improved transparency for agents, internal teams and customers. Galaxy’s website says the insurer offers individual, family and senior health cover, with digital tools that encourage preventive care through check-up incentives and vaccination-related awareness. The company is now preparing to extend the platform into web-based acquisition channels as it scales nationwide.
