Team8’s latest fundraising round brings its total assets under management to nearly $2 billion, enabling it to expand investments and long-term support for early-stage startups in AI-driven security, infrastructure, and digital health.
Team8 has raised $365 million in fresh capital as the venture group expands its backing for early-stage founders in cybersecurity, software infrastructure, fintech and digital health. The firm said $265 million will go to Team8 Capital’s third fund, while more than $100 million has been set aside for follow-on investment in its strongest portfolio companies.
The new commitments take Team8’s assets under management to almost $2 billion across eight funds since it was launched in 2014. According to the company, the capital will support Seed and Series A businesses building enterprise-ready products in areas where artificial intelligence is accelerating demand for security, resilience and scale.
Team8 has long combined venture funding with what it describes as a hands-on company-building model. The firm works with founders from the earliest stages and brings in a multidisciplinary operating team alongside its network of enterprise executives, known as Villages, to help test ideas, refine products and prepare companies for growth.
The latest fundraise also underlines how much capital continues to flow into specialist venture platforms focused on infrastructure and enterprise technology. Team8 said the additional funding will help it stay with portfolio companies over the long term, backing founders not only at inception but through the later stages of expansion as well.
