Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority has approved 14 new industrial projects worth Rs 2,780.10 crore, promising over 14,000 jobs and bolstering the state’s longer-term industrial strategy under Samruddha Odisha 2036.
Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority has signed off on 14 industrial projects worth Rs 2,780.10 crore, a package the state says could create 14,104 jobs across manufacturing and allied sectors.
According to the clearance list, Haldiram Snacks Food Private Limited has been allowed to set up a snacks and baked goods plant with an investment of Rs 500 crore. The unit, proposed for Khordha or Cuttack, is expected to employ 800 people. The approval comes as Haldiram’s corporate structure has continued to evolve after the Competition Commission of India cleared the demerger of the FMCG business into Haldiram Snacks Food in 2023.
Sahana Clothing Company Private Limited won approval for a readymade garment factory in Dhenkanal focused on knitted baby and children’s wear. The project, valued at Rs 251.45 crore, is projected to generate 5,104 jobs. Prasol Chemicals Limited received the green light for a phosphorus-based derivatives plant in Ganjam with an outlay of Rs 450 crore and an estimated 458 jobs, while Syrma SGS Technology Limited secured approval for a printed circuit board assembly and box-build facility in Khordha with an investment of Rs 300 crore and 500 jobs.
Other clearances included Mahatripura Sundari Minerals & Metals Private Limited’s integrated complex in Keonjhar for ferro alloys, chrome derivatives, metals recovery and chrome ore beneficiation. That project, worth Rs 160 crore, is expected to employ 1,460 people. The approvals add to a recent run of industrial clearances in Odisha, with local reports saying the state is using these project sanctions to support its longer-term “Samruddha Odisha 2036” industrial push.
