India-based gut health startup Guttify aims to raise ₹20 crore to accelerate product development, expand its diagnosis-first gut wellness ecosystem, and reach more consumers across urban India amid rising interest in digestive health and personalised healthcare.
Guttify, an India-based gut health startup, is seeking ₹20 crore in fresh capital as it pushes to build out a broader consumer platform centred on diagnosis, personalisation and ongoing digestive care, according to Elets Online. The company’s latest round valued it at about ₹54 crore.
The plan comes amid rising interest in gut health across India, where consumers are paying more attention to digestion, the microbiome, metabolic health and preventive care. Guttify says it is growing 67% quarter on quarter, adding users at about 20% a month and retaining 40% of repeat customers.
At the heart of the business is what it calls a diagnosis-first model. The company’s ₹399 do-it-yourself gut scan kit has been used by more than 30,000 people and serves as the starting point for recommendations, expert input and targeted wellness products. Guttify says it is building a full stack that covers diagnosis, interpretation, personalisation, management and maintenance, combining at-home testing with clinically formulated solutions.
The proposed funding will be used to speed up product development, strengthen technology and diagnostic tools, expand consumer education and widen distribution in India’s larger cities as well as smaller urban centres. Restaurant India reported that the startup is in advanced talks with venture capital firms, while Silicon India said the company’s earlier extended seed round brought total funding to more than $1 million. Existing backers include the family office linked to Unichem Laboratories.
Guttify also plans to broaden its offering beyond general gut wellness into areas such as constipation, bloating, digestion, liver health and everyday digestive maintenance. That positioning reflects a larger shift in consumer healthcare, as Indian startups increasingly pair wellness products with testing, data and advice rather than relying on supplements alone.
