New Delhi’s healthtech ecosystem continues to grow with innovative AI-enabled solutions and neurotechnology startups attracting significant investment, even amid a nationwide funding slowdown, positioning it as India’s burgeoning digital healthcare hub by 2030.
New Delhi’s healthtech sector has become one of India’s most visible clusters of digital healthcare companies, with Inc42 ranking the capital’s best-funded startups against a backdrop of slowing investment across the country. The publication says the city now has roughly 80 healthtech startups operating across specialities, while Delhi’s broader startup policy aims to make it India’s premier startup hub by 2030.
That ambition comes at a time when the funding market has cooled. Inc42 reported that Delhi NCR raised $917 million across 134 deals in the first half of 2026, down 39% in value from a year earlier even as the number of deals rose 16%. Nationally, India’s healthtech startups attracted about $700 million across 54 deals in 2025, compared with 78 deals in 2024, and Datalabs expects the sector to compound at 39% a year to reach $37 billion by 2030.
Despite the slowdown, the capital continues to produce some of the country’s best-known healthtech names, including Clove Dental, BeatO, Eye Mantra, Hospals and NirogStreet, according to Inc42. The publication said the sector’s growth has been helped by longer-term shifts after the pandemic, including wider use of wearables, teleconsultations and preventive care, alongside a steady flow of early-stage and growth-stage investment in the region.
A newer wave of bets is also emerging around artificial intelligence and mental wellness. Sychedelic, a Gurugram-based neurotechnology company with operations in New York, recently raised $3.5 million in seed funding, according to multiple reports and the company’s own statement. The startup is developing AI-enabled headphones that combine neurostimulation, biometric tracking and adaptive audio to help users manage stress, focus and sleep. The company said the money will support manufacturing, marketing, research and a planned global Kickstarter launch in 2026.
