CapitalXB’s new AI platform accelerates trade finance expansion and operational efficiency

CapitalXB Finance partners with Biz2X to implement an AI-powered lending platform, slashing onboarding times and boosting trade finance capacity for small and medium-sized enterprises, both domestically and internationally.

CapitalXB Finance has deepened its digital push by adopting Biz2X’s AI-powered lending platform, a move the company says will speed up credit decisions and support its broader expansion in trade finance. The RBI-regulated non-bank lender focuses on supply chain finance, working capital and trade finance for small and medium-sized enterprises, including freight forwarders and other businesses that need short-term funding. CapitalXB says the new system has cut know-your-customer checks and client onboarding from 2 to 3 days to less than an hour.

The company says AI-assisted credit assessment has lifted turnaround time by more than 80%, giving it a faster route from application to disbursement. Biz2X’s platform covers loan origination, onboarding, underwriting, documentation and portfolio management, and the two companies say automation and data-driven workflows should allow CapitalXB to grow volumes without a matching rise in operational staff or credit headcount. Biz2X describes its software as a business lending platform designed to streamline loan servicing, risk analysis and customer journeys.

CapitalXB says the technology also supports a wider strategy that combines digital credit, regulated lending, export finance, foreign exchange, compliance and distribution. The company holds an NBFC-Factor licence and an AD Category-III licence, which it says allows it to link domestic and export financing with foreign exchange services and export compliance as part of a broader trade-finance offering. The lender is also planning to use the platform to extend further into international trade corridors through a capital-light, partner-led model.

Taranjit S Jaswal, managing director and chief executive of CapitalXB, said the aim is not simply to digitise lending but to build an integrated trade-finance platform that brings together credit, technology, regulatory infrastructure and institutional capital distribution. Rohit Arora, co-founder and chief executive of Biz2Credit and Biz2X, said the partnership is intended to provide the digital foundation for CapitalXB’s growth in India and across global trade routes. CapitalXB expects the platform to help finance more than 250 SMEs and MSMEs over the next 12 to 18 months and support more than ₹1,000 crore in disbursements.
