TimbuckDo deepens India disruption with hands-on startup fest partnership for student earnings

TimbuckDo partners with IdeaBaaz Startup Fest to create Rs25 lakh in earning opportunities for over 100 students, marking a strategic shift in its engagement with India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and offering practical experience in organising major events.

TimbuckDo has taken a visible step deeper into India’s startup scene by signing on as workforce partner for IdeaBaaz Startup Fest, a five-day event set for August 26 to 30 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The arrangement is expected to create about Rs25 lakh in earning opportunities for more than 100 students, giving them paid roles while the festival brings together founders, investors and other participants from the wider ecosystem.

The tie-up marks a notable shift in the relationship between the two platforms. TimbuckDo first appeared on IdeaBaaz as a startup seeking funding and is now returning in a role that supports the event’s execution. According to the companies, the students involved will not simply observe the festival but help run it, gaining hands-on exposure to how a large startup gathering is organised and delivered.

Mythri Kumar, co-founder and chief executive of TimbuckDo, said the partnership is intended to help students earn while building practical experience and confidence. Jeet Wagh and Mudit Kumar, the co-founders of IdeaBaaz, described TimbuckDo’s role as a full-circle moment and said their relationship with founders should continue beyond the television format that introduced the platform. Their comments reflect a broader push to keep founders and young workers connected after the cameras stop rolling.

TimbuckDo, founded in 2022 and based in Bengaluru, positions itself as a student gig and growth platform that links verified part-time work, internships and project-based roles with financial literacy, lifestyle benefits and skills training. The company says its aim is to help students earn, learn and grow by giving them a more direct route into the mainstream economy and the professional world.
