Capacit’e Infraprojects sees 7% revenue growth for Q1 FY27 despite initial delays, with normalised execution and stable debt levels, though profit margins come under slight pressure.
Capacit’e Infraprojects said its consolidated revenue for the quarter to 30 June rose 7% from a year earlier to ₹629 crore, even as output was held back in the first half of the period by a shortage of workmen and water-supply curbs affecting construction sites in Mumbai, according to the company’s results announcement. The builder, which works on residential, commercial and institutional projects across Mumbai’s metropolitan region, the National Capital Region, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, said execution has now normalised.
Profitability softened in the quarter. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation fell 3% to ₹99 crore from ₹102 crore a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin narrowed to 15.7% from 17.2%. Earnings before interest and tax came in at ₹80 crore, with an EBIT margin of 12.5%, and profit after tax dropped to ₹40 crore from ₹47 crore, leaving a PAT margin of 6.2%.
The balance sheet remained lightly geared. Gross debt stood at ₹522 crore as of 30 June, with a gross debt-to-equity ratio of 0.27 times and a net debt-to-equity ratio of 0.16 times, the company said. Its standalone order book was ₹13,535 crore, with public-sector work accounting for 55% and private-sector contracts making up the rest. Year-to-date order bookings totalled ₹1,071 crore.
Executive Chairman Rohit Katyal said the previous financial year had set new benchmarks for execution and business development and added that the company was now confident of delivering on its guidance over the remaining three quarters of FY27. StockAnalysis data shows Capacit’e closed FY26 with revenue of ₹26,227 million, up 11.63% on the year, although earnings per share eased 5.45%, a sign that margin pressure has not entirely disappeared despite the top-line growth.
