Cyprus prepares to unify direct tax filings on all-new Tax For All platform by 2027

Cyprus’s Tax Department aims to centralise all direct tax filings within the new Tax For All platform by 2027, marking a significant upgrade from the legacy TAXISnet system amidst ongoing digital transformation efforts including AI and automation.

Cyprus’s Tax Department plans to move all direct taxes on to its Tax For All platform in early 2027, after a delay to the wider reform programme left the system unable to handle the new rules in time for returns linked to the 2025 tax year. The shift means taxpayers will eventually file and pay income tax through Tax For All rather than TAXISnet, the older platform that has handled recent filings. According to the department, the reform has been in force since January 1 this year.

The change will cover personal and corporate income tax, the special defence contribution, capital gains tax and immovable property tax. Tax For All is intended to act as a single digital environment for taxpayers, businesses and staff, bringing filing, payment and internal administration on to one integrated system. The department says the platform is being expanded in stages and that further modules will follow after the direct tax functions go live.

Much of the system has already been rolled out. In 2025, the department put employer PAYE returns into live use, allowing them to be filed, managed and processed electronically, and completed the connection with CYLogin so users can verify their identity through a single secure login. It has also continued user acceptance testing on other tax modules, while pushing ahead with robotic process automation and early internal work on artificial intelligence for data analysis and decision support, according to the department’s own updates.

The authorities have also built out support tools to help users adapt. A new Tax For All support page and digital assistant have been launched, alongside training sessions and webinars for officials, accountants and tax advisers. The department reopened Tax For All on July 21, 2025 after a temporary shutdown for technical work, and said some deadlines were extended during the transition. Its current individual income tax guidance shows the 2025 return deadline as October 31, 2026, underlining that the migration is still in progress rather than complete.
