Indifly’s strategic stake in CGreen aims to enhance loan resolution technology, expand on-ground presence, and revolutionise debt collection in India’s under-served Tier 3 regions amid rapid lending growth.
Indifly has taken a strategic stake in CGreen, a loan resolution and borrower intelligence company that says it uses artificial intelligence, voice AI and field intelligence to help lenders recover overdue debt more effectively across Bharat. The investment is intended to deepen CGreen’s technology stack, expand its on-ground network and widen its reach in Tier 3 and smaller markets, where collections infrastructure is often thinner than in larger cities.
The move comes as India’s lending industry expands rapidly but collections systems remain uneven, with many banks, NBFCs, MFIs and fintech lenders still depending on manual tracking, telecalling and patchy reporting, according to the company’s announcement. CGreen says its platform is designed to give lenders a clearer view of why a borrower has defaulted by separating cases driven by unwillingness to pay from those shaped by genuine financial distress, which can influence the type of recovery strategy used.
CGreen says it already works with more than 29 lending institutions, manages more than 3 lakh borrowers and oversees assets under management of more than ₹1,350 crore. The company also says it has a nationwide remote network and an on-ground presence in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Assam. Its model centres on borrower interaction recording, structured workflows and its Pragati Kendra network, which it says helps lenders make more informed and transparent resolution decisions.
Indifly, which describes itself as a venture builder focused on financial services, commerce and digital access, said the deal fits its broader aim of backing technology-led businesses that strengthen India’s digital economy. Abhinath Shinde, co-founder and director of Indifly, said CGreen addresses a major gap in lending by combining technology, borrower intelligence and execution on the ground, while CGreen chief executive Vipr Raj Bhardwaj said the partnership will help the company strengthen its systems and expand the infrastructure it is building for Bharat.
