HDFC SKY launches unified 3-in-1 account to streamline Indian investors’ money management

HDFC SKY introduces a digital, all-in-one account integrating savings, investing, and trading to reduce fragmentation and enhance user convenience amid a broader industry shift towards seamless financial solutions.

HDFC SKY is pitching its 3-in-1 account as a way to bring savings, investing and trading together under one digital roof, aiming to reduce the need for customers to juggle separate platforms for routine banking and market activity. The service is part of HDFC Securities’ wider push to make money management feel more unified and less fragmented.

According to HDFC SKY, the account links savings, demat and trading functions in a single setup, with paperless digital onboarding and automated fund transfers. The company says customers can use the platform to access stocks, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and other market-linked products without having to move money between multiple providers.

The firm also says the product carries zero account opening charges and a flat ₹20 brokerage for intraday and delivery trades. Its website says users can also access researched stock picks and unlimited IPO bidding through SKY Direct, while the linked savings balance continues to earn interest until it is deployed for trading or investment.

Puneeth Bekal, chief marketing officer at HDFC Securities, said the aim is to make the process simpler for customers who want to handle everyday finances and market participation in one place. The broader pitch fits a wider trend in Indian financial services, where banks and brokerages are increasingly bundling savings, demat and trading features to offer a more seamless experience, although investors are still cautioned that securities markets carry risk and decisions should reflect individual goals and risk appetite.
