The company reported a Rs 70.59 crore net profit in the September quarter, while expanding its order book across vehicles, farm equipment and railways.
Ramkrishna Forgings has reported a sharp turnaround in the September quarter, posting a consolidated net profit of Rs 70.59 crore for the three months to 30 September 2026, compared with a loss of Rs 9.5 crore in the same period a year earlier, according to the company’s statement. Revenue climbed to Rs 1,405.42 crore from Rs 907.53 crore, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose to Rs 256.23 crore from Rs 122.54 crore.
For the first half of FY27, the Kolkata-headquartered manufacturer also delivered a strong improvement, with net profit increasing to Rs 117.47 crore from Rs 2.29 crore a year earlier. Revenue for April to September advanced to Rs 2,622.09 crore from Rs 1,922.79 crore, reflecting a stronger operating backdrop and better volume traction across its business.
Managing Director Naresh Jalan said domestic demand remained healthy in the quarter, helped by steady commercial vehicle production schedules, while customer activity in key export markets also held up well. Company disclosures and the earnings-call transcript released after the results indicate that the business also secured fresh orders worth Rs 673 crore across commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, light vehicles and farm equipment, with the programmes expected to run over several years.
The company is also pushing beyond its core forged and machined products. Jalan said Ramkrishna Forgings is building a presence in non-ferrous forgings, including aluminium, titanium, inconel and nimonic grades, for use in aerospace, robotics and semiconductors. The firm added that its forged-wheels facility near Chennai, developed through a joint venture with Titagarh Rail Systems, is close to commercial production and is intended to supply a strategically important component for Indian Railways. Titagarh’s project information says the venture is tied to a long-term supply contract under the Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat initiative, giving the plant an additional policy-linked growth driver.
Ramkrishna Forgings said it now operates 20 manufacturing facilities in India and Mexico, with installed capacity of 395,800 metric tonnes as of 30 September 2026. The results and the wider project pipeline suggest the company is aiming to broaden both its customer base and product mix at a time when demand from commercial vehicles and railway-related manufacturing remains central to its growth story.
