Stitch opens up payments data to every team with AI-powered Pulse Analytics

Stitch’s new tool lets staff query payment records in plain language, receive role-specific insights and act on issues without waiting for a data team.

Stitch has launched Pulse Analytics, an AI tool designed to make payments data usable across large organisations, allowing staff from finance to customer support to ask questions in plain language and get answers quickly. According to the company, the system is meant to reduce the delay between spotting a problem and acting on it, especially in businesses that already hold detailed records of payment attempts, failures and settlements but struggle to turn that information into practical decisions.

The pitch is straightforward: instead of waiting for a data team to pull reports, users can query the platform directly and receive summaries tailored to their role. Stitch says a finance director might see a daily brief focused on revenue movement and failed transactions, while an operations manager would be shown issues affecting stores or service lines. The company also says responses can be exported into spreadsheets or board materials, making the tool useful for reporting as well as day-to-day management.

Customer service teams are another clear target. Stitch says a support agent could enter a transaction ID and see when a refund was paid, which bank handled it, the reference number and when the money is due to arrive. The platform can also monitor selected metrics or events and alert the relevant user when something changes, with an explanation of the likely cause. Stitch says the system can even trigger refunds and payouts, although only within the permissions already assigned to each employee.

The broader argument behind the launch is that payments data should not sit in a silo. Stitch says the people closest to a problem are often best placed to fix it, which is why the product is being positioned as a cross-functional tool for finance, risk, operations, support, sales and marketing. The company says Pulse Analytics is the first part of a wider Stitch Pulse suite that also includes fraud prevention and know-your-customer, or KYC, onboarding tools. Stitch says the service will soon be available to all of its payments customers, with each business able to analyse its full payment history from the outset.
