5Paisa takes goal-based investing workshops to 5,000 CBSE teachers

5Paisa Capital has launched Investor Connect with CIEL to help teachers plan for goals including education, home ownership, retirement and emergencies, starting in Mumbai before a wider India rollout.

5Paisa Capital has launched “Investor Connect”, a financial planning initiative aimed at teachers in CBSE schools, in partnership with the Centre for Investment Education and Learning, according to a company statement carried by PR Newswire. The programme is designed to reach 5,000 educators and is already being run in Mumbai, with plans to extend it to CBSE schools across India.

Rather than offering a basic introduction to money management, the workshops are framed as practical goal-planning sessions. According to the company and reports carried by Business Standard and UNI India, the sessions are built around everyday priorities such as funding children’s education, buying a home, preparing for retirement, handling emergencies and building long-term wealth.

The workshops are being led by CIEL trainers, who the company says combine market knowledge with examples drawn from ordinary household finances. The format is interactive, with the aim of helping teachers relate investment concepts to their own circumstances and make more confident decisions about saving and investing.

5Paisa has positioned the programme as part of its wider mission to make investing more accessible through technology. The company says the initiative matters beyond the classroom because teachers can influence family and community decisions as well as their own finances. It also points to the scale of the CBSE network, which employs more than a million teachers, as a reason the programme could have a broader impact if it expands as planned.
