ATD Money launches instant digital loans targeting young Indian salaried workers

ATD Money introduces a fully digital platform offering quick, convenient small personal loans of up to Rs. 50,000 for young, salaried Indian consumers, with approval times as short as 30 minutes and funds received within minutes, though at high interest rates.

ATD Money is expanding access to small personal loans through a fully digital platform that it says can connect eligible borrowers with credit from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 50,000. The company’s latest pitch is aimed at younger, salaried customers who want quick access to cash without visiting a branch, with applications handled online from a smartphone.

In its press materials, ATD Money says the service is built around speed and convenience, with approvals taking as little as a day and, in some cases, money landing in a bank account within minutes. The company says first-time applicants can be approved in about 30 minutes, while existing customers may receive funds in around 10 minutes. It also says users receive a permanent customer reference number and that all borrowing is subject to the partner lender’s terms and conditions.

The company’s website adds a more detailed picture of how the business operates. ATD Money says it is not itself a non-banking financial company and does not lend directly to customers; instead, it functions as a technology platform that arranges loans through NBFC partners. Its site says the platform is operated by ATD Financial Services Pvt Ltd, which it identifies as an RBI-registered NBFC established in 1996, and it says eligible applicants must be Indian citizens, aged 18 or above, salaried, and earning at least Rs. 25,000 a month with valid PAN and Aadhaar.

That same website says the loans carry flexible repayment periods of up to 365 days and that the maximum annual percentage rate can reach 240.22%, a figure likely to matter to borrowers comparing costs. ATD Money is marketing the product as a fast, paper-light option for everyday needs and emergency expenses, but the broader appeal of instant credit also comes with the higher borrowing costs often associated with short-term digital lending.
