Reliance Jio Platforms is set to file for one of India’s largest ever public offerings, with a potential valuation of $137 billion, as it aims to accelerate its digital expansion amidst growing investor interest.
Reliance Jio Platforms is edging closer to a long-awaited stock market debut, with Mukesh Ambani saying at Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting in August 2025 that the company was preparing to file for an initial public offering and targeting a listing in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Business Standard reported that the announcement came as Jio marked its 10th anniversary with more than 500 million subscribers, underlining the scale of the unit as it moves towards public markets.
More recent market commentary suggests the listing plan has moved beyond broad ambition. According to IPO-focused analysis published by Ipolyst, Jio Platforms filed its draft red herring prospectus with India’s markets regulator on June 19, 2026. The filing reportedly proposed a fresh issue of 27 crore shares, aimed at raising about ₹37,700 crore, and implied a valuation of roughly $137 billion.
That would make the transaction one of the largest ever attempted in India. The company’s size, customer base and position in the country’s telecom market have fuelled intense interest among investors for years, while Ambani has framed the listing as a way to demonstrate that Jio can command a valuation closer to major global peers, according to reports from Mid-Day, Mint and Capital Market.
For Reliance Industries investors, the logic of the flotation is not only about fundraising but also about separating a fast-growing digital business from a sprawling conglomerate. Analysts quoted in TelecomTalk have said Jio shares could be offered in a range of ₹1,350 to ₹1,450, though such pricing remains speculative until the company confirms the final terms. The broader expectation is that a public listing would provide a clearer market valuation for Jio and potentially unlock additional capital for future expansion.
