International Gemological Institute hikes interim dividend to Rs 2.55, signalling confidence in cash returns

International Gemological Institute has declared its highest interim dividend of Rs 2.55 per share for FY27, reflecting steady confidence and consistent growth amid a rising market value and revenue.

International Gemological Institute has lifted its first interim dividend for FY27 to Rs 2.55 a share, marking a modest increase from its earlier payouts and signalling continued confidence in cash returns to shareholders. In a filing to the exchanges on Tuesday, the company said its board approved the dividend on equity shares with a face value of Rs 2 each, equivalent to 127.5% of face value.

The company has set Monday, August 24, 2026, as the record date for determining which investors qualify for the payment. Eligible shareholders are due to receive the dividend on or before Thursday, September 17, 2026. The timing means investors will need to watch the usual ex-dividend and record-date mechanics closely if they want to be included.

The latest payout is slightly above IGI’s recent interim dividends. According to the company’s investor relations page, it declared Rs 2.50 a share in February 2026 and again in August 2025, after paying Rs 2.44 a share in February 2025. That makes the new Rs 2.55 dividend the highest of the company’s recent interim distributions.

The announcement came from a board meeting that began at 2.35pm and ended at 2.45pm, according to the company’s filing. Other market data sources show IGI’s shares were trading at Rs 328.35 on July 28, 2026, with a market value of about Rs 142.07 billion, while the company’s trailing 12-month revenue rose 21.6% year on year to Rs 13.63 billion.
