Eco Gadgets Eservices Pvt. Ltd. has raised seed funding from Amity Technology Incubator to expand its platform facilitating the sale of used electronics to verified retailers, aiming to address India’s e-waste challenge and promote responsible recycling.
Eco Gadgets Eservices Pvt. Ltd. has raised seed funding from Amity Technology Incubator as the New Delhi start-up prepares to expand a platform that lets consumers sell used electronics to verified retailers. The amount was not disclosed, but the company said the money will support product development, operations, brand building and hiring.
Founded in August 2025, Eco Gadgets is trying to formalise a corner of India’s second-hand electronics market that remains fragmented and heavily dependent on informal channels. The company says its service is designed to make selling old phones, laptops, televisions and air conditioners easier for consumers while improving price transparency, protecting data and encouraging responsible recycling.
The business is being led by Ankit Saraf, who previously co-founded Yaantra, the electronics recommerce company that Flipkart acquired in January 2022. At the time, Flipkart said the deal was intended to strengthen its refurbishment and after-sales capabilities in smartphones, while later rolling out a “Sell Back Programme” to let customers trade in used mobile phones through its app.
Eco Gadgets is positioning itself as part of a wider effort to cut electronic waste in India, where the company says more than 1.6 million tonnes are generated each year and formal recycling rates remain below 30%. Amity Technology Incubator said it backed the start-up because of its consumer-first approach and Saraf’s experience in scaling recommerce businesses, calling the venture a step towards a more organised circular economy for electronics.
