Central Depository Services (India) Ltd’s Investor Protection Fund partners with Amar Chitra Katha to create a story-led animation film, aiming to make complex investment concepts accessible across different languages and age groups.
Central Depository Services (India) Ltd’s Investor Protection Fund has launched a multilingual investor education film with Amar Chitra Katha, aiming to make financial planning and informed investing easier to understand for a wider audience. According to a company statement released on Monday, the project uses story-led animation to turn basic investment ideas into something more accessible across different age groups and regions.
The film, “The Garden of Prosperity”, retells the familiar Akbar and Birbal format to show a newly married couple how to put wedding gifts to work sensibly. Sudhish Pillai, head of the CDSL IPF Secretariat, said the group believes financial education works best when complicated ideas are presented through simple, relatable stories.
The new film builds on a wider investor-awareness push by CDSL IPF and Amar Chitra Katha. At CDSL’s third annual symposium in Mumbai, the partnership also launched a comic series under SEBI chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey, according to BusinessUpturn and APN News. CDSL’s own investor-awareness page says the series is available in 12 languages and includes titles such as “The Unofficial Ustaad”, “The Golden Peacock Fraud” and “The Garden Of Prosperity”.
