Shiprocket has launched Fastrr Checkout, a comprehensive platform designed to reduce cart abandonment, expedite transactions, and optimise delivery risk management for Indian direct-to-consumer brands, signalling a disruptive shift in online retail efficiency.
Shiprocket has added a broad set of checkout tools for direct-to-consumer brands in India as it seeks to tackle one of online retail’s most persistent problems: shoppers who abandon baskets before paying, and orders that later fail in delivery. In a statement carried by VMPL, the company said its Fastrr Checkout platform now brings together 20 functions covering conversion, payments, delivery-risk controls and post-purchase engagement, with claims of a checkout process that can be up to 70% faster, cart abandonment cut by as much as 25% and return-to-origin rates reduced by up to 30%.
The pitch centres on removing friction at the point of sale. Shiprocket says the system folds login, address entry, payment, delivery updates and order recovery into a single flow, while the checkout guide on its support site says the platform uses a pool of 150 million pre-filled addresses and claims a 95% address pre-fill rate. The company also says its address-correction prompts are designed to catch incomplete entries, such as missing house numbers, before an order is placed.
Payments are another focus. According to Shiprocket’s product pages and support materials, Fastrr integrates Truecaller, single sign-on and OTP-less login, and supports payment modes including UPI, cards and net banking. The platform’s payment settings documentation also refers to gateway integrations such as Razorpay, Easebuzz, BillDesk, Credpay and PayU, while its QuickPay feature is intended to suggest a customer’s preferred payment method based on past behaviour.
Shiprocket is also leaning on data to reduce costly failed deliveries. Its checkout guide says the platform uses risk scoring to steer cash-on-delivery orders in high-risk zones towards prepaid payment, and the company says that approach can help lower return-to-origin volumes. Beyond that, Fastrr includes cart recovery via WhatsApp, SMS and email, funnel analytics, loyalty tools and storefront support for headless builds, including React, Next.js and Vue, making the product as much an operating layer for D2C sellers as a checkout page.
