GTV Engineering surges on strong earnings and first bonus issue amid investor optimism

Shares of GTV Engineering jumped over 11% following a notable rise in quarterly earnings and the company’s first-ever bonus share issue, signalling renewed investor interest in the industrial firm’s growth trajectory.

GTV Engineering shares climbed after the heavy engineering company reported a sharp rise in quarterly earnings and approved a large bonus issue, underscoring renewed investor interest in the small-cap industrial stock. The company, which works on fabrication, machining, site erection and commissioning for sectors including power, cement, steel and infrastructure, said its latest quarter was marked by strong growth in both revenue and profit.

According to the company’s June quarter figures, consolidated revenue from operations more than doubled from the same period a year earlier to Rs 33.67 crore, while net profit rose to Rs 4.35 crore. Livemint reported that the business continued to draw work from clients including L&T, BHEL, NTPC, NHPC, SMS Group, Xylem, BGR Energy, Beumer Group, Metso Outotec and FLSmidth, highlighting its position in the industrial supply chain.

The earnings update came alongside approval for a 2-for-1 bonus issue, meaning shareholders will receive two additional shares for each share they hold, subject to the applicable record date. Market data cited by Moneycontrol and other corporate action trackers show the bonus was announced in June 2025 and the ex-bonus date was set for 28 July 2025. Goodreturns also noted that the company paired the bonus with a 1-for-5 stock split, in what it described as the firm’s first such corporate action package.

The stock reaction was swift. Trade Brains reported that GTV Engineering’s share price rose as much as 11.85% intraday after the results and corporate action announcement, touching Rs 78.80 before easing back. The company’s financial profile remains relatively modest in size, with a market capitalisation of about Rs 380 crore, but Trade Brains said it has posted strong longer-term operating trends, including healthy return ratios and limited leverage.
