India’s primary market prepares for a hectic week with eight IPOs, including major offerings from Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks and prominent jewellery firms, signalling a vibrant period for investors and industry watchers alike.
India’s primary market is heading into a crowded week, with eight initial public offerings set to open between August 17 and August 20, according to Goodreturns. The lineup includes six mainboard issues and two small and medium-sized enterprise offers, spanning industrial parks, jewellery, entertainment, asset management, seeds, instruments and distribution.
The first wave begins on August 17, when Horizon Industrial Parks and Lalita Jewellery Mart open to bidders. Goodreturns said Horizon Industrial Parks is aiming to raise through a mainboard offer priced at Rs 57 to Rs 60 a share, with a stated grey market premium of Rs 4.50. Investorgain said the issue size is Rs 2,600 crore and noted that the company, backed by Blackstone, operates as an integrated industrial and logistics platform with borrowings repayment among its stated objectives. Lalita Jewellery Mart, also set for a BSE and NSE listing, has a price band of Rs 190 to Rs 201 and a reported issue size of Rs 1,700 crore. Investorgain said the jewellery business drew 93.96% of revenue from gold jewellery in fiscal 2024 and has a strong presence in southern India.
The pace picks up on August 18, when Shankesh Jewellers and Sunshine Pictures open. Goodreturns listed Shankesh Jewellers at Rs 88 to Rs 93 a share with a GMP of Rs 6, while Sunshine Pictures carries the week’s highest price band at Rs 342 to Rs 360 and a GMP of Rs 53. On August 19, three more issues are due: Gaja Alternative Asset Management, Dhanvel Hybrid Seeds and Mopshop Distribution. Goodreturns said Gaja Alternative Asset Management has a price band of Rs 152 to Rs 160, while Dhanvel Hybrid Seeds is an SME issue priced at Rs 95 to Rs 99 and Mopshop Distribution has a fixed issue price of Rs 138.
The final launch of the week, Tempsens Instruments India, is due on August 20 and will remain open until August 24, according to Goodreturns. The outlet said the mainboard issue has the highest stated grey market premium in the group at Rs 85, although the price band was not available in the schedule it published. Most of the mainboard offers are expected to list on BSE and NSE, while the SME issues are slated for the BSE SME platform. Goodreturns also noted that grey market premiums are unofficial and can change before listing, so they should not be treated as a guarantee of returns.
