Patanjali Foods' Q1 profit soars 86% driven by sales growth in core segments

Patanjali Foods reported a significant 86% increase in first-quarter net profit, buoyed by strong performance in edible oils and FMCG segments, signalling sustained expansion amid a competitive market.

Patanjali Foods reported a sharp rise in first-quarter profit as higher sales across its core businesses lifted revenue. The company said consolidated net profit rose 86% to ₹335.73 crore in the quarter ended June, from ₹180.35 crore a year earlier, while total income climbed to ₹11,341.89 crore from ₹8,779 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

The edible oil division remained the biggest contributor, bringing in ₹8,504 crore during the April-June period. The fast-moving consumer goods arm added ₹2,937.74 crore, underscoring the company’s continued dependence on its oils business even as it expands its packaged food and personal-care portfolio. Patanjali Foods markets products under brands including Patanjali, Ruchi Gold, Nutrela, Dant Kanti, Mahakosh and Sunrich.

The latest results follow a strong finish to the previous financial year. Business Standard reported in May that quarterly profit for the March period rose 46% to ₹523.97 crore, supported by higher income from cooking oils and food products. For 2025-26, Patanjali Foods posted net profit of ₹1,814.47 crore, up from ₹1,300.70 crore a year earlier, while total income increased to ₹40,347.78 crore from ₹33,890.68 crore.

Founded in 1986, Patanjali Foods operates across edible oils, FMCG and wind power generation. The company’s results point to a business that has continued to grow in scale, even as recent quarterly numbers have shown a mixed picture on margins and sales momentum in a competitive consumer and staples market.
