Nihar Info Global transforms bullion platform into comprehensive digital precious-metals ecosystem

Hyderabad-based Nihar Info Global expands its GoldnSilver.shop platform, integrating bullion trading with digital assets, ETFs, and lending to meet rising investor demand for flexible gold and silver ownership in physical and digital forms.

Nihar Info Global is broadening its GoldnSilver.shop platform from a conventional bullion marketplace into a wider precious-metals finance service, as investors increasingly look for ways to hold gold and silver in both physical and digital form. The Hyderabad-based company says the revamped offering will combine bullion trading with digital precious-metals products, exchange-traded funds and lending services, reflecting a market that has moved well beyond coins and jewellery.

Chairman B S N Suryanarayana told The Hindu BusinessLine that the company has signed agreements with digital gold providers including SafeGold, Augmont and MMTC-PAMP. He said the platform is being redesigned as an end-to-end technology and knowledge service for precious metals, with the aim of serving investors who want more flexibility than a traditional shop can offer.

The shift comes as the wider gold market has become more digital and more institutional. The World Gold Council said in a recent report that gold exchange-traded funds accounted for 16% of annual gold demand in 2025, with assets under management reaching $559 billion and holdings of 4,025 tonnes. It said the growth of digital gold products has also exposed the need for shared infrastructure because of operational complexity and fragmented legal frameworks.

Nihar Info’s planned expansion also fits a broader trend among precious-metals platforms that are trying to link physical ownership with easier trading, storage and portfolio management. CyberMetals offers vaulted physical metals with app-based access, while Global Gold is building programmable settlement rails for gold and silver and Monetary Metals has developed products that let investors earn yields on bullion. The Block has reported renewed interest in precious metals as defensive assets, with some investment firms bundling them alongside crypto in a single dashboard, and Alpha Bullion says younger investors are increasingly drawn to app-based fractional ownership and instant transactions.
