TimbuckDo teams up with IdeaBaaz Startup Fest to offer over 100 students paid roles, highlighting its rise from a fundraiser to a key player in India’s gig economy and startup ecosystem.
TimbuckDo has tied up with IdeaBaaz Startup Fest as its workforce partner, in a move that will create Rs. 25 lakh of earning opportunities for more than 100 students at the five-day event in New Delhi from August 26 to 30. The collaboration places the student gig platform at the centre of the festival’s execution, giving participants paid roles while exposing them to the workings of India’s startup scene.
The partnership also reflects how far TimbuckDo has progressed since its early appearance on IdeaBaaz as a fundraising hopeful. According to a Business Standard report earlier this year, the company later closed a Rs. 2.70 crore funding round backed by investors including Turbostart, Anupam Bansal, Arjun Vaidya and Shaili Chopra, alongside Rukam Capital and the IdeaBaaz founders. That financing came after its television showcase on the entrepreneurship programme aired on Zee TV and Z5.
IdeaBaaz Season 2 and the associated startup festival are being staged at Bharat Mandapam, with the live event described by organisers as part of a broader push to connect founders from across India with investors, mentors and media reach. The festival’s finale is expected to feature live pitches from selected startups, underlining the platform’s ambition to move beyond broadcast into a real-world ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
For TimbuckDo, the alliance fits a wider pitch around student work as a bridge into employment. Founded in 2022 and based in Bengaluru, the company says it links students with verified gigs, internships and project-based roles, alongside financial literacy and upskilling tools. Co-founder and chief executive Mythri Kumar said the IdeaBaaz partnership gives students a chance to earn, build confidence and understand how startups operate from the inside, while IdeaBaaz co-founders Jeet Wagh and Mudit Kumar described it as a full-circle moment for a company that began its own journey on the show.
