Young Indian entrepreneur with ₹1.6 crore net worth seeks financial diversification advice

A 25-year-old from a tier-2 Indian city has amassed ₹1.6 crore through meme pages and digital work, now exploring ways to diversify and secure his financial future amidst growing online income.

A 25-year-old entrepreneur from a tier-2 Indian city has drawn attention after saying he has built a net worth of about ₹1.6 crore through meme pages, online content and related digital work, according to Business Today and other Indian outlets. He said he began earning at 18 through freelancing before expanding into Instagram theme pages that became a steady business, and now wants advice on how to diversify, scale the venture and move towards financial independence and early retirement.

He said the largest share of his wealth is in Indian shares, worth about ₹90 lakh, alongside roughly ₹45 lakh in cash and bank balances. His other holdings include ₹15 lakh in property, ₹7.5 lakh in US equities, ₹5 lakh in mutual funds, and about ₹4 lakh split between crypto and fixed deposits. He also said he owns a second-hand car worth about ₹4 lakh, which he did not include in his calculations.

The entrepreneur said he has a ₹50 lakh term insurance policy, but does not yet have health cover for himself or his parents. He also told Reddit that he has kept about ₹30 lakh to ₹45 lakh in savings accounts for some time because his business income varies and he has not found a real estate purchase that offered a convincing mix of price and risk.

That caution drew a wide range of responses online. Some commenters urged him to protect what he has built before making a large new bet, while others said his existing equity exposure is already substantial and that stability, insurance and an emergency buffer should come first. Several also argued that the most important asset may be the business itself, suggesting he reinvest in making it less dependent on him rather than chasing property or another asset class for the sake of deploying cash.
